Live Stream of West Michigan Bald Eagle Nest

We are excited to bring you this wild eagle nest in West Michigan! The male with the completely white head is "Soren" meaning strength and determination. The female, who is younger with the darker head is "Skye" meaning winged one. They are magnificent creatures and as you watch our livestream, know that many times you may witness the harsh realities of nature. The survival challenges they face—predators, environmental factors, and sibling rivalry—can be tough to watch, but they serve as a reminder of how resilient these birds must be to make it to adulthood. There’s something awe-inspiring about seeing nature unfold in real-time, even though it can be heartbreaking at times.

We are watching for the first pip around April 1st, and the second about 3 days later

The Falconry Experience

Falconry Experience

Falconry is an ancient sport.  Falconers are depicted on stone slabs dating back to the 13th century BC. In Medieval Times; Emperors, Kings, Knights and even Ladies flew different kinds of raptors based on their social class. However, falconry is not lost to history - it is still a sport that is actively practiced by dedicated individuals worldwide, including right here in West Michigan!

Dr. Brian is a Master Class Falconer who has been flying for 30 years working with many types of raptors. His dedication to sharing this expertise through live-flighted bird of prey programs and falconry experience programs is a great way to engage others with these majestic creatures.

For a donation, Falconshire Raptors offers both public and private programs to our West Michigan community. Click on the tab above for more information about the different programs we offer and how you can experience falconry at a personal level. There’s nothing like seeing a falconer, his dog and his hawk working in concert. It’s truly an awe-inspiring sight!
